Commission on Human Rights Bi-Monthly Meeting (VIRTUAL MEETING)
The DC Commission on Human Rights (“Commission”) is an agency within the Office of Human Rights (“OHR”) that serves as an independent and impartial forum that adjudicates private sector discrimination complaints brought under the D.C. Human Rights Act, D.C. Code § 2-1401 et seq. The Commission also provides an appeals process to applicants who were found ineligible for employment under the Criminal Background Checks for the Protection of Children Act.
Meetings of the Commission are governed by the Open Meetings Act, D.C. Code § 2-571 et seq. This notice outlines the schedule of the regular meetings of the Commission. The meetings are held in open session on the second Wednesday of every other month (odd months), and the public is invited to attend. Meetings may be held in-person, virtually, or both. Meeting information will be posted each month on the websites of the Office of Human Rights: www.ohr.dc.gov/Commission and the Office of Open Government: https://www.open-dc.gov/.
