Georgetown Waterfront Walk & Talk

About this event:
The District Waterways Advisory Commission is currently developing a strategic vision for the District’s waterways and adjacent property. This “Walk and Talk” event is an opportunity for Commissioners and stakeholders to explore an important waterfront access point. Topics of discussion will include public access, recreational amenities, safety concerns, and opportunities for improvement

What to expect:
This is an all-weather event. This event will begin with an introductory discussion aboard a water taxi vessel which will be parked at the public boardwalk at Washington Harbour.  This discussion will be followed by a walk along the boardwalk to explore the existing amenities, discuss how they are used, and to gather perspectives from stakeholders

Accessibility Notice: This event will involve walking on a wooden boardwalk, up and down a gangway with modest inclines, entering and exiting a water taxi, and a low impact walk.
