Leadership Council for a Cleaner Anacostia River Q1 meeting

In 2014, the District launched a long-term project to address its contaminated sediments. The Anacostia River Sediment Project (ARSP) is the most comprehensive approach to restoring the river in its history to address contaminated sediment in the Anacostia River and the District tasked it’s the Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) to lead the cleanup efforts. Given the complexity of this undertaking, the L Mayor Bowser created the Leadership Council for a Cleaner Anacostia River (LCCAR) was formedin 2015 to help to ensure that the project receives the guidance and support it needs to succeed.
