OMA Dismissal of Complaint Regarding ANC Meetings (OOG-2026-0014)

On August 26, 2026, Director Allen dismissed this Open Meetings Act complaint against two Advisory Neighborhood Commissions (ANC) because they did not raise issues within the Director's authority under the Open Meetings Act. ANCs are not considered public bodies under the Open Meetings Act, so the Director of Open Government does not have jurisdiction over the conduct of ANC meetings. The dismissal did not consider or evaluate the merits of the complaint against the ANCs.
