Commonly Used DC FOIA Exemptions and Redaction Training

On May 14, 2026, the Office of Open Government (OOG) presented “Commonly Used DC FOIA Exemptions and Redaction,” facilitated by OOG’s Attorney Advisor Joan Lelma.  The training examined the Mayor’s FY 2025 FOIA Report submitted to the D.C. Council and discussed the most frequently used FOIA exemptions and applicable case law, and how to perform redaction of information withheld under on the FOIA.
